Founded in 1999 by Samuele Mazzini, SMRE is a company specialized in engineering, design and construction of industrial systems for the cutting and processing of fabrics (Business Unit “Machinery”). Thanks to the know-how concerning the electric drives and motor controls, at the end of 2010, the company has patented an innovative power-train for electric vehicles (Business Unit “Mobility”). SMRE has developed “IET” (Integrated Electric Transmission), a particularly innovative technology, outperforming all its competitors in the EV market thanks to a better power /weight ratio and costs in line with the tough expectations of the automotive market. This technology has allowed the company to sign a strategic partnership with an American leading producer of electric motorcycles. SMRE is headquartered in Umbria, in Umbertide and it has a team of over 30 people, 7 of which dedicated to R&D. Samuele Mazzini, founder and major shareholder, plays a central role in the company, and he is supported by a commercial structure recently reinforced. The company was listed on the AIM market of the Italian Stock Exchange in Milan in April 2016.

Il gruppo impiega più di 700 persone in 11 siti produttivi, di cui 2 in Cina, 1 in Francia e 1 negli Stati Uniti. Da gennaio 2015 è attivo anche un nuovo stabilimento in Italia dedicato a produzioni per il settore petrolifero. Tra i propri clienti Baglioni annovera i principali produttori di compressori in Italia e nel mondo.

Founded in 1978 in Nove, nearby Vicenza, Stalam is a leading company in the design, development and production of Radio Frequency equipment (“RF”) for the drying and thermal processing of textile fibres, yarns and technical textiles. Since 2002 the company has diversified its activity by entering the food market, developing RF equipment for the quick defrosting of frozen fish, pasteurisation and sterilisation of liquid and semi-liquid food products, and for the sanitisazion of dry food commodities. Stalam has a market share of over 50% in the textile industry, and it’s the company offering the broadest range of RF equipment in the world for the food industry. It generates over the 90% of its turnover abroad indeed.

Italchimici is an Italian pharmaceutical company, leader in the sale of generic drugs and proprietary branded food supplements. Founded in the 60s by the Guastella family in Pomezia (near Rome), Italchimici carried on a co-marketing business with Janssen (a pharmaceutical company of Johnson & Johnson) in the 70s. In 1988 it was acquired by the multinational company Fisons Pic, a global leader mondiale in the respiratory and allergy treatments. In 1995, following the acquisition by Fison Pic, it joined Rhône-Poulenc (currently Sanofi-Aventis), and in 1996 it was taken over by its managers and private investors through a MBO. Italchimici sells products dedicated to the respiratory and gastrointestinal therapies, having established a leadership position in its markets in Italy, in particular in the pediatric and in the probiotics and nutraceuticals segments. The products are promoted directly to the doctors through its sales and pharmaceutical representatives network. The promotional activity, that has been carried out in the recent years, has contributed to place its brands in a leadership position. Italchimici possesses a prominent green angle considering that it develops almost a third of its turnover in nutraceuticals and dietary supplements with specific functional qualities. The fund sold to Recordati S.p.A. its stake in Italchimici S.p.A. on May 31, 2016.
