José María de León

Investment Director

José joined DeA in 2025 as an Investment Director based in Madrid.

Prior to joining DeA, José was a Principal at H.I.G. Capital, the leading US fund mid-market PE fund, in the Madrid office where he spent 12 years doing LBO and growth investment in the Spanish Mid-Market. He also sourced and executed transactions for other funds of the firm such as the EYSA transaction for the Infrastructure Fund.
Previously he worked as Gala Capital, a Spanish PE firm, and he started his professional career in the London office of BNP Paribas.

José holds a B.A. in business administration from The Universidad Pontifica de Comillas.

He is fluent in English.
