Italian Recovery Fund is a closed-end alternative fund investing in distressed credits, both secured and unsecured, originated by Italian banks. The investments are usually made by acquiring notes of different seniorities (typically mezzanine and / or junior tranches) issued by an SPV130 vehicle in the context of a securitisation transaction.
Italian closed end investment fund raised to intervene in the Italian 2016 banking crisis, exacerbated by the magnitude of non-performing loans exposure on banks’ balance sheets. DeA Capital Alternative Funds manages the fund since November 2019, when it acquired the business unit from the previous asset manager (Quaestio Capital SGR).
